ACCEPTANCE LETTER
Congratulations! This is your official acceptance letter for all of the 2020/2021 MEGAFEST events. Thank you for your great work. We are absolutely thrilled to be working with you.
STEP 1: Please read this page carefully. Everything you need to know about getting your accepted work to us and attending MegaFest can be found below.
Please do not contact the theater directly with screening questions or event questions. The theater can not and will not assist you. While your project is important to us, and we want to honor you and your work, please understand that there will be 700+ screenings. The needs and requirements for your project's screening and all that is associated with it are handled by the AOF MegaFest, not the theater. All theater questions must be directed to MegaFest directors Del Weston or Theresa Weston. Please do not show up at the theater and request theater staff assistance. If you do this, we have no choice but to pull your project, with no refund to fees you've incurred.
If you have additional questions (after reading this letter in its entirety), please email Del at efcfilmco@gmail.com (with technical/screening questions) and Theresa at theresa@actiononfilmfest.com with all other questions. Please email one or the other Not both.
STEP 2: Email Theresa at theresa@actiononfilmfest.com with your project name in the subject line, along with the name of the festival you're accepted into, the project type (film, written word, art etc), and whether or not you are attending (attendance is not mandatory but is highly recommended). This is to confirm you have received your acceptance, that you have read the letter in its entirety, and that you understand the MegaFest guidelines and rules.

STEP 3: Send us all the required film screening materials outlined in “Screening Formats and Requirements” below. Your screening time will be given once we have ALL of your screening materials in the formats requested.
STEP 4: Go to actiononfilmfest.com and sign up for our email newsletter, it’s our main avenue of communication with MegaFest writers and filmmakers.
All things MegaFest will be conveyed through the Newsletter.

The deadline for submitting your film for AOF 2021 is July 5, 2021. All required files are due by 7.8.2021
1. MP4, or H264 Film File (required)
DO NOT SEND through Google Drive. The File must be sent through Wetransfer.com or Dropbox.com to
efcfilmco@gmail.com. We accept Vimeo links as long as they are downloadable at high resolution 1920 x 1080. Note: If you have submitted a music composition/score please send an audio file (MP3) to efcfilmco@gmail.com
We DO NOT play directly from Filmfreeway or any other submission platforms.
or from DVDs or BR discs.
If we do not receive the required screening materials, we will not be able to screen your film.
Please make sure your video file is presented WITHOUT watermarks or timecode burned in. We will not screen a film with watermarks, ghost images, timecodes, or company and contact information burned in.
We accept Vimeo links as long as they are downloadable.
2. DCP (Preferred and strongly recommended)
DCP is the preferred Screening format. This will ensure everything looks and sounds the best and give you the filmmaker and the audience an exceptional theater experience. In order for our theater team to ingest the film into their system, they will need your DCP file and your code (if your DCP is key protected) ASAP.
Please deliver DCPs clearly labeled with film name, festival name, and contact info no later than 7.8.2021 to the AOF team at the Las Vegas address below (NOT TO THE THEATER). This is to ensure there is time to ingest it into the theater's system. We do not return/ship DCPs. The submitting filmmaker may pick it up after their final screening and before the close of day on 7.31.2021.

3. TRAILER MP4/ MPEG4 file. (recommended)
Immediately send us a teaser or trailer for your project (maximum 3 minutes) and we’ll post it on the festival website, on your ticket, on multiple online preview sites set for AOF by other promotional sites and on preview screens at the AOF theaters. If you do not have a trailer please let us know.
If your video file is under 25Mb, email it straight to efcfilmco@gmail.com. If it’s larger, send it to the same email via file transfer services wetransfer.com or dropbox.com. We DO NOT accept any other transfer services or Google Drive.
If you do have a trailer or teaser online(Youtube or Vimeo):
1. Make sure it is downloadable
2. email the link and password to efcfilmco@gmail.com we’ll add it to your screening ticket in the online AOF store.
4. PHOTOS (required)
Still Photos (minimum 4 and maximum 10), with film name in the file name, should be emailed to Del at efcfilmco@gmail.com. The photo file must match the film name - No abbreviations. (ex thebestfilmintheworldphoto1.jpg not tbfitw.jpg) Please send as soon as you are selected and no later than 7.8.2021
Promoting Your Film. Video, Artwork, Song, Story, Script, Spoken Word Projects
With a big festival marketing budget and sponsorship packages from industry media, there is no way audiences won't know about AOF… but will they know about your film? To help pack your theater, we offer plenty of ways for you to let MegaFest attendees know about your screening. (See below 1-4)
You can also promote your screening through your own press contacts and mailing lists!
We can use your supplied promotional material to profile your film online and in the official AOF program – FOR FREE!
1. POSTERS (FREE)
Posters must be sent as high-resolution JPEG files (1080px x 1920px @ 300 dpi) to be displayed digitally at the theater. NO HARD COPY (PRINTED) POSTERS. The poster file name must match the film name - No abbreviations.

2. ADVERTISE IN THE OFFICIAL AOF PROGRAM/MAGAZINE (Digital)
A full-color AD in the AOF / Hollywood Dreams commemorative program is the most effective way to get your project seen by AOF guests and delegates.
Your AD will appear in our online digital book allowing international views. AD bookings sell out every year – advance reservation of your AD space is highly recommended!
All ads must be received by July 8, 2021.

3. GOODIE BAG PROMOTIONS (FREE)
Provide us with up to 200 postcards. We also accept 50 to 2,000 small promo items such as pens, magnets, wristbands, t-shirts etc. for inclusion in the 2021 MegaFest Filmmaker/Creator Goodie Bags… FOR FREE! This is your opportunity to be creative and make an impression. We are not accepting PRINTED Posters this year. Only digital poster files (JPEG) will be accepted.
Please note that we rotate distribution so that everyone has a chance for their work to be seen.
Goodie bags are first come first serve and while supplies last. COVID mandates may require contents to be varied, limited or removed.

4. PRESS RELEASE (FREE)
Send a press release announcing your project’s selection into MegaFest to your local media.
Make sure to include personal stories, hot topics, celebrities in your cast and crew or other interesting project elements, which makes it easier for media to pick up your story.
You can also send your press release to efcfilmco@gmail.com for inclusion in our master promo list – FOR FREE!
5. SPECIAL PROMOTIONAL EVENTS
For those who really want to make a splash, AOF can coordinate a special promotional event for your film, such as an industry showcase, premiere screening after-party, or cast and crew screening.
AOF regularly hosts world premieres, west coast premieres, and US premiere screenings… we know how to build buzz around your film!
A custom AOF promotional event package can include AOF program advertising, bulk screening tickets, pre or post-screening parties, e-blast announcements, and even industry and distributor invitations to your event.
We can also reserve private media rooms, theaters, bars, nightclubs and specialty venues to give your event maximum bang.
The only limit is your imagination! (COVID19 protocols may affect the choices, locations, and group size)

Accommodations
There are more than 650 hotels in Las Vegas and you’ll find great accommodation no more than 10 minutes from all AOF events. We do not have a host hotel however, Las Vegas has a hotel for every budget. Check out Trivago.com for rates.
July/August are the slowest months in Las Vegas so you can get some great discounts. Be creative and resourceful.

At this time (May 2021) there is a mask mandate but no quarantine requirement for those of you flying domestically into Nevada. Please verify your state's return requirements. International travelers, please check out https://nvhealthresponse.nv.gov/travel-visitors/travelers-visitors/ for the most up-to-date requirements.
Writer and filmmaker check-in
Writer and filmmaker check-in opens 11AM daily from inside the theater from 7.26.2021 -7.31.201 the check-in closes at 7PM. One All-Access Pass and 1 Goodie Bag per Submitting Creator (while supplies last) no matter how many projects have been submitted/accepted to an individual festival and 1 screening ticket for your guest. If accepted to MULTIPLE festivals, 1 access pass per festival.
Check-in is your AOF one-stop-shop. You can pick up your access badge, event tickets, VIP passes, AOF Filmmakers Goodie Bag while supplies last (COVID mandates may create unforeseen limitations), and any pre-ordered screening tickets all here.
Each Accepted Creator receives one All-Access screening badge ($750 value), even those with multiple submissions in a single festival. If accepted in multiple festivals, you will receive 1 All-Access pass per festival.
These rewards can only be given to the registered submitting writer or filmmaker on file. If there is a co-writer or co-director on the project and you want to give your one and only All-Access screening badge to them, please email theresa@actiononfilmfest.com naming the collaborator authorized to pick up your badge.

A single program pass is $10. We also offer block screening ticket discounts for filmmakers who want to secure a block of 30+ tickets at $8 per ticket.

ALL MegaFest Festivals are still accepting submissions and still programming the festival.
Each night, MegaFest hosts dinners and after-parties in and around the theater. Filmmakers and writers will be notified of all events through the AOF daily email newsletter. Please make sure you subscribe at actiononfilmfest.com (bottom of page)
MegaFest seminars cover topics including Writing (screenwriting, novels, e-books etc), Production, Budgeting, Distribution, Entertainment Contracts/law, PR and so much more.
To reserve seats, please email theresa@actiononfilmfest.com with a list of the seminars you want to attend, with SEMINARS in the subject line.
Note that AOF special guests and event venues are subject to change, but very rarely do.
All specialty events and seminars are seated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Award Shows
The MegaFest Black-Tie Award Shows
MegaFest features 5 gala award shows, where all awards for all festivals' competing films and scripts are announced and handed out.
Seating for all events is always limited but has been limited even more so because of COVID. To reserve seating you can purchase Tickets here.
All AOF award winners will be published on the AOF site by or before August 4, 2021 on the AOF site. All other festivals, including HDIFF and NRFF, will post their winners on their respective sites by or before August 4, 2021.
